The regional Coordinator of IU, Daniel Martínez, accompanied by the provincial Coordinator in Albacete, Luis Ángel Aguilar and councilmen of this political education in the municipality of La Mancha of Dens have supported a meeting with workpeople and representatives of the sector cutler that has been one of the economic props of this locality. A sector that has occupied more than 250 workers and that at present has turned out to be limited almost to the half before the lockouts and dismissals.
The elements and pieces of silverware that are made of Dens are of an excellent quality, the called "knife of office" but that with the reduction of the sales, which in general in last two years 50 % has seen limited, and with disloyal competition between businessmen who to reduce costs import raw material and finished pieces of other countries.
Other one of the serious problems of the sector is the absence of a proper mark of the silverware of Dens and of the labeling “made in” that it provokes that the basic pieces finish his manufacture in other countries with another different mark that the consumer does not know.
“It is not an only one managerial problem and of absence of load of work, but especially of work that has diminished sudden and that has affected many workers who were taking all his labor life in the sector”.
The IU leaders also have met representatives of the works committee and workpeople of the company EMIPISA, dependent on the company on wind elements Eiffage, located in Dens and that a few weeks ago he has announced the application of records of regulation of employment (ERE) that can affect a big number of workpeople and that comes to join other regulations of the wind managerial sector, showing the consequences of the shutdown up in the activity of this sector of the renewable energies that both in Albacete and in Castilla-La Mancha have reached a few important levels for the economic development and of employment creation.
In the locality of Dens that is provided with a population of less than 5.000 inhabitants and that has almost 600 idle workers, there are the sectors of the silverware, of the industry and of the agriculture those that are being more punished by structural problems in the local economy and by the consequences of the crisis economic that it affects to the whole region and that needs from a revival and the real implication of the administrations, especially of the regional government that seems that only it is creating false expectations” the IU leaders indicated.
Daniel Martínez was grateful for the interest showed by the workpeople and representatives who attended to the IU call and he admitted that with this type of meetings and meetings it is where truly there is verified the raw reality of an economic crisis that is affecting straight men and women, with names and surnames, with complicated situations and a slightly promising future, and promised to move these situations as that of Dens to the political and institutional forums where IU has presence or aptitude to influence.
