IU and CCOO PUSH BACK OF FORCEFUL FORM THE DELAY OF THE RETIREMENT AGE

IU Albacete does to itself echo of the meeting supported by the General Coordinator of IU, Key Lara, with the General Secretary of CC.OO, Ignacio Fernández Toxo
From Izquierda Unida of Albacete there has been valued very positively the meeting that there have supported in Madrid each delegations of IU and CCOO, headed by the General Coordinator of IU, Key Lara and by Ignacio Fernández Toxo, respectively of that a forceful rejection ended to the obligatory delay of the retirement age at the age of 67 proposed by the Government of Mr. Shoemaker, the defense of the economic priority of these moments that is the employment creation.
During the meeting of supported work there was analyzed the evolution of the economic crisis and of the employment, and in a singular way, the measurements bundle on the future of the public system of pensions that last Friday approved the Cabinet. For both organizations the proposal to delay the retirement age supposes “a hard blow to the rights of the workpeople and to the proper nature of the public system of pensions”.
For it, from both parts it was considered to be “essential the need to activate an ambitious and supported campaign of information and mobilization between the workpeople against the proposal of the Government with the target that the above mentioned initiative is withdrawn”.
Both parts shared the “urgent need to be employed at two directions: to support the public politics to reactivate the economic activity and to create employment, guaranteeing meanwhile the protection to the persons who are expelled from the labor market. On the other hand, to put the foundations of a solid industrial base and a new productive model”. They thought that all this must go “accompanied by a deep review of the financial system and a more just and equitable tax system”.
From IU Albacete they realize well that “the impact of the current crisis must not bear in any case to re-catch old neoliberal theories presented now from the pessimism to tackle the delicate debate of the sostenibilidad of the public system of pensions in our country”, said the provincial Coordinator, Luis Ángel Aguilar.

Aguilar insisted that “the alarms on the aging population are interested, on not having taken into consideration the growth of the economy foreseen in the future and the employment during the next decades. It is necessary to propose more than to scare and therefore to reinforce and to increase the capacity of the public system of pensions in our country thinking about the future and acting in the present”
The delay of the retirement age is enormously regressive at social level, so the health of the elders and his mortality depends on his social class. The persons with major revenues live 10 years more than those of minor purchasing power. This way for example a cleaner of a bank at the age of 60 they have the same level of health as a managing high place of the same bank at the age of 70”, the Coordinator of IU reflected, to close saying that “that's why to ask them to the popular classes to work 2 or 5 more years to pay the pensions of the persons of top revenues, who will live many years more, is an enormous injustice”
